Ladies Nite 08!! [08 Jul 2008|10:46pm]

zoso_plant
Here is a myspace group for Ladies Nite 08 featuring the one and only Peter Stormare:

http://groups.myspace.com/ladiesnightthetour08

A link to the official site for Ladies Nite 08 has been posted in the myspace group so if you need more information, check that out. Also, it seems the official site is in Swedish only (I think all/most of the shows are happening in/around Sweden) so if you don't know the language, try posting your questions on the myspace group and I'm sure someone will be able to answer them;)

This event sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun, so if you are in the area and you are a lady (sorry guys), treat yourself to a night out with Peter Stormare;)

Poor Peter!
After broken his nose again for the fourth time during the shooting of Boot Camp last year, his nose has become a little too crooked for it´s own good and needed some fixing. Last week he had surgery to correct the matter, let´s just hope they didn´t destroyed that beautiful characteristic bend;)
Peter and Phil seems to enjoy themselves though during his convalescense (thanks Philly for sharing):

PETER UNPLUGGED - BROKEN NOSE

This tuesday Peter was getting rid of the stitches:

According to a reliable sorce, Peter is feeling well and says "it´s a miracle to be able to breathe through his nose again!"

This was not the first time he went down this lane, he has been there a few times before:

SYNOPSIS WOLF

Original screenplay by Kerstin Ekman
Director: Daniel Alfredson
Producer. Anita Oxburgh, Migma Film AB
Starring: Peter Stormare as Klemens

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Wolf is a contemporary drama set in the wilderness of northern Scandinavia on the border between Sweden and Norway.

First only sounds are heard - antlers rattling, hooves clattering, bells jingling and dogs barking.

Photobucket

A reindeer herd appears in the distance moving up a hillside. A Lapland dog attends to the breakaways. The dog stops for a moment, ears pricked. Someone or something is watching them from afar.

Photobucket

Two men are driving the herd. The older one, Klemens, is a reindeer herder from a long line of nomadic Sámi; a man clinging to a threatened way of life.

Photobucket
PETER STORMARE AS KLEMENS

The younger man, Nejla, is his nephew. He shares his Uncle’s passion for a free life and defies his family to follow in his uncle’s footsteps.

Photobucket
ROBIN LUNDBERG AS NEIJLA

Their herd is small and vulnerable and they use methods, which are looked down upon by the other herders.

Photobucket

A wolf is illegally killed, the authorities discover the remains of the endangered species and an investigation follows. All the evidence points to the Sámi, and Klemens is the chief suspect. He becomes a symbol for traditional Same values in conflict with the demands of modern life. It is a clash between wildlife protection and the right to defend oneself, one’s herd and ultimately ones heritage.

Photobucket

This is a wildlife story where the conditions of survival are no longer compatible with the laws of modern society.

Jannes day at The Castle [28 Jan 2008|09:46pm]

LA GRANDE FINALE ON THE CASTLE

JANNE - HOST OF THE DAY
Photobucket

Jannes day started with letting the other Stars sleep in, and for that he got "the wave" in the end of the last program. Apparently it got late last night for a certain someone called Peter, because Janne has trouble waking him up, lol. When he tickles him under his feet he says: "Arja - a little higher please!" and both of them starts laughing.
After visiting the others handing over a little confusing gift to all of the Stars, all of them are gathering outside for a charter... they don´t know where they are going exactly at first, but are told they are going to Malmö, where Jan grew up.

In the bus everyone is asking Janne a lot of questions about his life and upbringing, and we get to know that he "grew up at the theatre", that is the Hippodrome Theatre in Malmö. Both his parents were artists "The singing and dancing couple Fritzie". Early in life Janne knew he was going to the theatre, "even if the only thing I get to do is withdraw the curtains", he says. He also tells the others how he met his wife, Marie Göransson, who is a famous swedish actor at The Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. They have been married now for 37 years.
When Jan is asked about his parents he tells the other Stars about his terrible upbringing and of his father, to whom he didn´t speak for 20 years. He says: " I love my mother, but why shall I love my father? You gotta earn love. Shall I love him just because he had 20 seconds of pleasure making me? Nono. He was a fake! I couldn´t stand him!" He hopes he has been a better father to his own kids, but admits he was probably a bad father too, except for to his youngest son Jocke, because he was away so much.

TIVOLI AT COPENHAGEN
Photobucket

When the others understand they are going to Tivoli in Copenhagen, they get all excited, especially Britt, who jumps up and down like a little kid. They are now getting to know what their gifts were for, they are going to have a "Trekamp", a little competition at the Tivoli shooting arrows, throwing balls, hammering etc... They all seem like little kids having the best time of their lives. Arja gets some sneers though for being late all the time, and later we get to know that Magnus took her aside picking on her so she was quite upset about it. Personally I think she is just a person who doesn´t like to lose, lol.
Janne also got to meet Pierrot at lunch, which made him so happy. It was a total surprise to him and he just loves clowns! He says clowns are probably the only thing he hasn´t done on stage, but always wanted to do!

OYSTERS ON THE TERRACE

POSING FOR THE CAMERA
Photobucket

Dinner is very elegant, and Janne shows what a man of world he is, inviting them to the table in a tuxedo and serves champagne an oysters on the terrace, and the table is laid with the same servis as at the Nobel festivities. Everything looks elegant and exquisit.
At the table Janne tells the others about his time at the Theatre, La Cage au folles, and how a gay man tried to seduce him - that was quite funny!
He also tells them about his romance with the dancer Barry Chase, whom he met and fell in love with and for her sake he moved to Hollywood, left his wife and four kids. They got married, but eventually he returned to Sweden again, after playing several small parts in different movies, and Britt jokes and says he was "Pre-Stormare".

NOBEL DINNER
Photobucket

For the day Janne gave everyone a task: They should think about the best and the worst thing they had done... of course Peter forgot and tells Arja not to remind Jan lol. But at the dessert he has not forgotten...
First out is Britt, who tells everyone that the best thing she did was to win a ski-competition for celebrities, and the worst thing was her disco-record she made in 1979.
When it is Arjas turn, she tells everyone that the best thing she did was to work with Mikis Theodorakis. When it comes to the worst thing she starts to cry of shame, because she has repedeatly humiliated herself and begged to get to perform at Allsång på Skansen (a swedish program recorded at the Amusement Park Skansen), but never got an invitation.
Magnus says that the childs program "Fem myror är fler än fyra elefanter" (five ants are more than four elphants) is probably the best thing he did, and his worst was his first try to a singing carreer.
When the turn comes to Peter, he tells everyone about a little car he made when he was 8 years old that he was so proud of because it was so pretty. The worst thing was when he was working with Steven Spielberg during the shooting of Jurassic Park, and he fed some squarrels (which they weren´t allowed to do) and one of them bit him, so they had to stop the shootings to get him to a hospital. He thought his carreer was over then, but Spielberg seemed amused and told him to forget about it and that they could shoot another scene instead.
Jannes best thing was when he ran New York City Marathon when he was 50 years old on 4 hours 15 minutes. The worst thing was when he in the sevnties got an offer to buy a Fontana (famous painter) very cheap but didn´t... today it would have been worth a million! He says he finds comfort in thinking that Bonniers (swedish famous Editors Company) refused Astrid Lindgren too ( She is the one that wrote Pippi Longstocking, famous childrens book).

As closure Peter pic up his guitar and they all sing "I did it my way"... what better way of ending a fantastic show? I am sorry it is over, I have laughed and cried with the Stars and fallen in love with All of them - I hope you feel the same!

PLOT:
"It was about that time she began to come more often. In the evening, before I was about going to bed. She sat down and talked and talked. Always about how she enjoyed silence, and how much she liked to be alone. She talked and talked forever..." ( Erland Loe)

"Gone with the woman" is a movie about a man´s meeting with the complex love, and the even more complex womanhood. After being invaded, seduced and conquered, our man realizes he has got a sweetheart. There is no other explanation to why there is suddenly living a talkative woman in his apartment...
Soon she is rampaging through his life with non-stoppable entusiasm, redecorating the apartment according to her own taste, while he is running a few steps behind trying to make his opinion heard.
Although he is still unsure, both about love and about women, he decides to try to understand them both. Our man realizes, that if this relationship shall give him some space, he will have to fight for every inch of it. But it´s not easy to stand up for oneself when she never gives you a chance...

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Gone with the woman is the screen adaption of Erland Loes debut novel about a young mans galloping ways into the potential catastrophy zone that love is, about women´s monological dialogues and the modern man´s rights to have a say about where the cupboard shall stand.

Director Petter Naess has with his unusual visual touch and the brilliante contribution from the actors Trond Fausa Aurvåg and Marian Saastad Ottesen achieved to transfer Loes ironical vue on modern women and men´s trying to understand them to the screen.

Gone with the Woman got the "Gledesprederen" (Joybringer) award during the norwegian film-festival in Haugesund and will have it´s international premier at the wellknown film-festival in Toronto in september 2007.

REVIEW:
I love this movie! I watched it for the second time the other day and it is just hilarious!
Marianne is the kind of woman for which the word "spontanious" isn´t quite enough! You never know what she is going to do next. And the tricky thing about her is that you have really hard to make your voice heard around her... somehow she manages to talk you into thinking she is right - whether she is or not!

Han is the kind of guy that loves peace and quiet. He is therefore a bit taken by surprise by her way of just moving in and taking everything for granted, and he doesn´t really put up a fight.. she pretty much gets her way, even about her ugly yellow chest of drawers.

Glen is the "nice guy" Han meets in the swimming-hall, and also the expert on women - at least in his own mind. He is more than willing to give Han advice about love and life, like in the sauna for example he tells him: "There are two things you need to do: 1) Buy swimglasses and 2) Sleep with her!
But Glen also is the intermediator beetween Han and Marianne when they have a fight at Christmas, and the rescuer when Han is depressed and tries to kill himself.

When Han loses his job Marianne decides they are going on a vacation. After running all over Europe Han and Marianne ends up in a Castle where a retired old swedish colonel lives with his wife, and Marianne decides this is the goal of their trip. But by now Han is tired of her deciding everything for him and leaves for Paris, and there he meets a french girl, whom he immediately falls in love with, but when he understands it is mutual, he gets cold feet and leaves. He is then travelling alone for a while hoping that he won´t be the first to come home, but of course he is.

When Marianne gets home they have a wonderful time for a while (who say it wasn´t good for love to be away from eachother?) Until Marianne tells Han she has got a job as a teacher far up north, and of course she is going alone... they are going to see eachother weekends..
But of course that doesn´t work out, and Marianne has soon found herself a new lover. You think it could have ended there, but oh no... Just as Han has started to make a life of his own again she appears at his doorstep and the whole thing is starting over and over again like an old record that has got stuck. I will not reveal the end of the story, but it is a really fairytale ending which I absolutely love! Sigh!

PETERS DAY AT THE CASTLE

Photobucket
PETER STORMARE - HOST OF THE DAY

Today was completely different from the last program and so totally relaxed and unpretentious. First Peter is in the kitchen preparing trays for the other Stars and then (on time) he takes off in a race up the stairs and places the trays outside each of the others doors shouting "Fire", lol. Of course it´s not, he´s just kidding. When the others open their doors, they find a tray with a mug of coffe, and instructions for the day. It seems like they are going to get some more clues, and Magnus is guessing: "It´will be some kind of Prison Break on the Castle".
They are to gather downstairs in half an hour, but when they come down, no sign of Peter, just a globe. They look puzzled till Magnus suggests that it might be opened... and there inside is a map and some more instructions. They are going treasure-hunting! But thats all a scheme to get them all away from the Castle for a few hours, because Peter is planning on setting up a music-studio there! While the Stars are chasing for clues, Peters music-friends, the guys from Rob n´Raz (famous swedish group) arrives along with a technician and the equipment.
Back at the Castle again, the other Stars are told they are going to make a real record for Svensktoppen (swedish radio-program). So they get to work on one of Jannes old hits, "Snurra min jord" (Spin my world) which is also the title song of the program.
They all seem to have a really good time!

THE STARS WORKING IN THE CASTLE MUSIC-STUDIO
Photobucket

After this funny and hardworking day, Peter takes them all out for a dinner in Gods free air. He is serving "kol-bullar", which is a dish the poor forefathers up in north, Kolarna, who watched the fires for the workers, ate so they didn´t have to starve. It is a very deliberate choice of dish to make the others aware of a way of living so very far from their own upbringing... especially Britt, who was born a richmans daughter from "Öfre Östermalm", a part in Stockholm, where all the rich people live. Just as deliberate as he earlier bid them lunch at a gas-station. I just love Peters way of doing things!

A NICE RELAXING DINNER IN THE LOVELY SURROUNDINGS OF THE CASTLE BY THE LAKE
Photobucket

During dinner Peter tells the others all about his life at Dramaten, how he got to work with Bergman, and everyone is laughing almost all the time. Although Peter, like Arja talks most of the time, it never gets boring. He captivates the other with his stories that always has a funny twist. And the others seem to love him... Janne almost cries when he is telling the interviewer how much he likes Peter. If you look closely when Peter is being interviewed, you get to see a glimpse of a performance of Peter from Stockholm 2002, at "Allsång på Skansen". He has just released Dallerpölsa & småfåglar, and is singing that song from the album.

THE STARS DRESSED FOR DINNER
Photobucket
(Peter is wearing his belowed Beatles T-shirt, lol)

The evening is rounded up just as unpretentious as the day has been - with a "kaffekask"
(booze in a coffemug), and Mums-Mums - a chocolatedish with creamy stuff inside, which Britt declares delighted that she absolutely loves... "I was the "Mims-Mums girl" she says.
And as a conclusion of a fantastic day, the others get to hear the result of their efforts in the studio earlier that day, and is handed a recording.

I simply must say, this was the best day, I watched the program twice in a row, and now I´m ready for a third time! Love you Peter!

PETER & INGMAR... FATHER & SON
Photobucket

In the beginning we get to see Magnus, who asks Peter "How did Ingmar Bergman get his eyes on you?"
Then we get to see a glimpse of Peter and Ingmar from the eighties, where they are preparing for The Backantae.
Peter says: "Shall I wear the wig on my hair?" and everyone is laughing.

The speaker is telling us that Peter got the message about Ingmars death during the shooting of the show.
Peter says: "There are no words that are enough to describe what he means. I always get too touched." Then he almost cries and says: "Now it became hard... I think that´s enough.." you can hear the tears in his voice. Sweet wonderful man.

Peter was harrassed at The Royal Dramatic Theathre [12 Jan 2008|07:01pm]

stormvoxa
[ mood | angry ]

This is something I have been wanting to write about for a long time! I have always wondered why Peter left Sweden just when people started to recognize him. The answer is that Peter really had a difficult time on The Royal Dramatic Theatre, and I can fully understand why he decided to leave this old duck-pound! Here´s an article from a swedish magazine.

WAS HARRASED AT THE ROYAL DRAMATIC THEATRE

Photobucket
PETER DEFENDING HIMSELF FROM AN ADVERSARY - LIKE IN REAL LIFE!

Peter Stormare left Sweden at the peak of his carreer. Now Expressen can tell you why. He was excluded and harrassed at The Royal Dramatic Theatre.
- I had a really hard time, he says to Expressen.

Tonight is Peter Stormares day at "The Stars on The Caste". In the program he talks openly and tells the other stars, Magnus Härenstam, Jan Malmsjö, Britt Ekland and Arja Sajonmaa about his time at The Royal Dramatic Theatre - and the difficult time he had there.

Peter Stormare got really close to Ingmar Bergman and got to work with him. He is telling us about how he felt like a sibling to Ingmars children.

THE CLOSENESS WAS HARD TO ACCEPT

The closeness beetween the two of them some collegues at Dramaten had difficulties accepting, and according to Peter they were extremely jealous.
In the program tonight he says among other things, that

- When collegues, who are half-drunk say to me "Aren´t you gonna give Bergman another blow-job so you´ll get another part?" Then you think you are in a Mental-hospital somewhere.

PETER AND PERNILLA GETTING DIRECTION FROM INGMAR

"THERE WERE SOME TROLLS"

Peter Stormare is telling us:
- I felt, shall I stay here, together with these people? No, I think I have to go somewhere else.
Peter Stormare don´t want to hang out anyone, when Expressen asks. But he says:
- There were some trolls in the Under-world of Dramaten.

In the program you say that´s why you left Dramaten.
- That was a part of a big cookie, yeah.
It must have been very tough?
- Yeah, sometimes it was, yes.

Then Peter Stormare left Sweden. But the strong love he has for Ingmar hasn´t diminished.
- I have always loved to be associated with Bergman. It is a privilege for a few, and we have many similarities.

Peter Stormare gets teary-eyed when he shall try to explain what the great swedish director has meant to him:
-There are no words that can express his importance, he says.

He tells Aftonbladet about the most difficult performance in his life.
To put aside the sorrow.

This is Peter Stormares day at the castle.
A day which to a part will be about the Master-director Ingmar Bergmans life - and death.

- There are no words for his significance, says Peter Stormare.

Before the cameras the actor is telling us about his grief over Bergman - but what the cameras don´t tell, is that Peter in two days lost two familymembers.
- The first day was very hard to me. My beloved dog Garbo passed away on sunday morning, and on monday morning I got the message that my "spare-daddy" had deseased. The hardest thing was to lay the sorrow aside and let it come one week later.
But he is content with the result of the program.

- Ingmar wouldn´t have wanted it any other way, he says.

STORMARE: SHE´S TOO PRETENTIOUS!
Photobucket

THE STARS WERE IRRITATED AT THE SINGER

Tonight (saturday 5 jan) we got to follow Arjas day at th castle. There were much Finland - and very many words. Something that irritated the other participants, above all Peter Stormare.
Stormare may have made out with Arja Sajonmaa(they are referring to when he showed everyone how a filmkiss is done, my comment) and he opens the day by pinching her bottom. But otherwise he doesn´t seem to give much for the finnish singer.
After Arja had her own dancing-class for the other participants, Peter asks her how on earth she could participate in "Let´s dance":

- If someone called me and asked if I would want to dance with the stars... that´s a helluva bad show! Why on earth do you participate in such a program? Did you ned money? Did you want to be seen and loved? he said.

"A BITCH HOWLING IN THE WOODS"

Photobucket

When it was time for dinner out in the garden, Arja greeted her guests singing.

- There´s a bitch howling in the woods, Peter says to the other participants, who laughs of course.
- What the hell... now she has done it in a grandiose fashion I thought, he confides the camera.
- A bit pretentious. But that´s the way you pictured her in the 80:s. There were many words.

Arjas day was concluded with dessert in the library, where she played the piano and sang "jag vill tacka livet" ( I want to thank life, her most well-known song, my comment).
- I know a lot of people who like this song, but it´s not my favourite. But it´s kind of a trademark for her. Even that is a bit pretentious... to conclude with a song that everyone has heard. Not again, Peter complains in front of the cameras.

"LONGWINDED"

But it was not just Peter that was a bit put. The other Stars also were irritated at her long monologues.

"GET TO THE POINT"
Photobucket

- It is very extensive and longwinded before she gets to the point, says Magnus Härenstam in todays episode.

"IT IS VERY HARD TO GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER OUT OF YOU!"
Photobucket

- You ask her "What day is it?". She says: " I would have answered you directly, but whe I went to the Student union we did it often on a thursday, so today is athursday", Britt Ekland jokes after Arja has left the dinnertable.

"SHE IS A BORN POLITICIAN"
Photobucket

- She is somewhat of a politician. She does not answer directly, but circulates around the subject, says Jan Malmsjö.

But when it comes to that she gets unexpected support from Peter Stormare.
- She would make a good actress. Imagine the monologues she could hold...

There has been a lot of articles about Arjas day in the swedish newspapers, this is one!

THEY FOUND EACHOTHER IN THE SAUNA
Photobucket
Peter and Arja having a good time in the sauna. "We talked about life"...

In The Stars on The Castle yesterday the viewers watched the day degenerate to a drinkingparty. But SVT did not show all of it. Expressen reveals that the production management had to interrupt the shootings several times and a lot of material was removed. Among the scenes that were cut out was several scenes in the sauna.

- We wipped eachother like you wip the devil out of your system, Arja tells Expressen.
- The release came directly after the first schnapps, says Arja Sajonmaa, 63, to Expressen.
In yesterdays The Stars on The Castle on SVT we could see Jan Malmsjö,75, Britt Ekland 65, Magnus Härenstam, 66, and Peter Stormare, 54, being forced to partake a breakfast containing a scnapps and croissantes. French breakfast, according to Arja, who lives parttime in Paris, and controlled the schedule for the day.
- Everyone came in their nightgownsa an bathrobes. It should be intimate.

IT WAS MADNESS
When the group should dress up later in wigs and gowns to play "Let´s dance" the production had to cut several times..
- It was madness and action, says Arja. The team laughed so much that they could not film.
According to Arja they had to cut lots.
-It got of the rails totally. And everything was procastinated all the time. We were all like kids who played around.

I WIPPED EVERYBODY
- You were quite tipsy?
- The others were haha. I was so concentrated on what was to be done on my day. I guess I was sloshed by madness! I don´t even remember everything I said.
Later in the sauna you get to see glimpses of how they wip eachother with branches of oak.
- There wasn´t even a small birch as long as you could see, Arja complains. ( The finnish tradition is to wip eachother with brancehs of birch, my comment). I wipped them all. And in the end they all wipped eachother.

WE SAT THERE A LONG TIME
Arja tells us about the tradition to wip eachother from head to toe.
- It is the clorophyll that is good for your skin, and it makes the blood circulate. And it gets the devil out of your body, she adds with a laugh.
The others became so tired they had to go up and lay down after. Even the cameramen. The only ones left was her and Stormare.
- Peter and I stayed for a long time... we found eachother there. We talked about life.
A relationship that will result in a future song-project.

Arjas day at The Castle [06 Jan 2008|04:12am]

HOSTESS OF THE DAY: ARJA
Photobucket

Arjas day started out in bathrobes at the breakfast table. She was determined to get rid of all the prejudices about the finnish that swedes are supposed to have, namely that they are all heavy drinkers and start their days with a schnapps. So for a starters, she pours them all a glass of Marsken (finnish booze) - fills it till it almost owerflows and the Stars have to drink it.
Later she hands out knives to everyone. Another swedish prejudice is supposed to be that the finnish are wearing knives and do anything to get in a row...Britt finds it amusing and takes the opportunity to do a Lohan, lol. Arja replies: You do as you please, but it´s MY day!

WATCH OUT - I´M LINDSEY LOHAN

"DO AS YOU PLEASE, BUT IT´S MY DAY!"
Photobucket

After breakfast they all to meet up in the Pink Hall downstairs. Peter is guessing that the knives are for carving wood ... "and THAT I know how to do" he says as the true Northlander he is. BUT - he is totally wrong! Arja has planned for a tango! She used to be a participant in the swedish program "Let´s dance", so now she says it´s time for "Let´s Dance on The Castle".
- One of you guys has to be a lady, she says, and it´s gonna be YOU Jan!
Jan laughs as she dresses him up in a white dress and put a wig on his head and some red lip-stick and he says:
- I thought I was through with those kind of things!

JAN AS A TRANSVESTITE
Photobucket

The Stars had mixed feelings about Arjas day. They seem to think Arja is a bit too pretentious.
Magnus: Arjas day was hard! And it takes forever for her to get to the point!
Peter: She is too pretentious... too many words.
Jan: She is a politician... she never answers a question straight!
Britt: If I asked her what day it was she would say: "I could answer you directly, but you see when I went to the student Union we said it was a thursday, so it is a thursday."

SHE´S TOO PRETENTIOUS!
Photobucket

But there were nice moments too. After the hardwork on the dance floor (here´s a little peek by the way): Let´s Dance on The Castle
they had a little finnish snack (that´s what the knives were for), while discussing who lost their virginity first, lol. ( Guess who? ;)
They also had a nice relaxing afternoon in the sauna, and after that the "ice-pool"(which Peter didn´t enjoy by the way, lol. I have never seen anyone come up so quickly! Maybe that´s why he lost his towel in the process when diving into the hot pool;)
Arja layed a nice masque on Britt as well, who seemed to enjoy it.

MAGNUS COMMENTING PETERS DICK: IT LOOKS LIKE AN ELEVATOR-BUTTON!

Photobucket

The evening is roumded up in the garden where Arja have dined the table with greek dishes. When the others arrive they suddenly hear someone singing... Peter comments: "There´s a bitch howling in the woods!" The comment of course is followed by cheerful laughters... but it is only Arja that has raised her voice in a Mikis Theodorakis song.
Arja crowns the others with a laurel and they are given greek names. Jan becomes her Dionysos, Britt becomes The Pretty Helena, Peter becomes Narcissos and Magnus becomes Sokrates, the wise man. They get drinks (Ouzo of course) and all of them starts to laugh, because Peter just told them he hates it. When they arrive at the table she bids them Retzina(another wine which Peter hates, so he starts to laugh again.)

ARJA - GREEK GODDESS

DINNERPARTY IN THE GARDEN
Photobucket

They are asking her all sorts of questions, about her political engegement and her relationship with the former swedish primeminister Olof Palme. Peter has tired to pop the question several times during the day if they were involved, but not really gotten an answer.. Now she says they hadn´t had a relationship, but that she admired him greatly. Earlier during the interview she starts to cry when she is telling the interviewer about when she sang at Palmes funeral. "It was the hardest thing I´ve ever done", she said. "It was like the murderer stood there next to the coffin." ( For you who don´t know it, Olof Palme was brutally murdered in the street in 1986, and they never got the killer).

PALME & ARJA
Photobucket

The evening concludes in the Golden room once agin, and Arja is singing her (probably most) famous song "Jag vill tacka livet"(I want to thank life), while they are eating strawberrys and melons in wine, and they are all impressed with her pianoplaying. But Peter adds "That is not my favourite song at all".

Music-review Meet me when I come [04 Jan 2008|07:22pm]

[ mood | sad ]

Hey Guys!
Happy New Year!
And what better way to start a new year, than with a review of a new fantastic album by Blonde From Fargo? Yeah, that´s right - now it´s time to look into The Lost Hong Kong Session!
We will start with the first song: Meet me when I come. To listen to the music, go to the link below, if you haven´t got the album already!

When I heard this song for the first time I actually cried. I felt that there was such a sad tone in Peters voice, and it made me cry. The picture that got into my mind was a man who had been separated from a dear one he loves.. maybe through a divorce, or even death. I hear him crying: "Meet me when I come"... but for some reason, the other person doesn´t hear him, and then he cries out for a second time "meet me halfway there..." There is a tone of desperation in his voice, I can actually feel it when I listen... here is somone who is really desperate!
For some reason we do get separated in life... sometimes through a sudden death or a divorce.. it is not what we want, but sometimes life can be cruel, and unexpected things happen that pull away the rug under our feet and we fall into despair and sorrow.

I had a daughter, who died. She only became six months, and she died of a severe heart-condition, but before the operation we didn´t know how bad it really was, so we were not prepared at all for her death. It was like being thrown down into a big black hole... like someone had pulled the rug under you and you suddenly found yourself lying on the floor and you didn´t know how you got there or what happened. It got me into a real faith-crisis.

And I can feel this in this song as well... the desperation is about something more than just two people who has been separated. And the answer comes in the next verses.
Peter sings "Please hold me when I come" - like a little child who needs comforting by a parent or a dear one...he is scared. When he sings "Hold me when I´m gone", I am convinced it is about death - like he is afraid of what will meet him on the other side... afraid of crossing over.
And that´s just what this song is about. In a moment of doubt, Peter is crying out to his dad, who crossed over sometime ago: "Please meet me when I come... hold me... show me the way!" Knowing Peter as a man of faith, I am convinced this was a difficult time for him, a time of doubts. But even a man of strong faith has his doubts sometimes, and this song was written in such a time of dispair. That was what I picked up when I heard the song for the first time. On the other side there will be no more disguises, no more compromises and no more lies ... we will see eachother without veils like we really are! Ain´t that something to look forward to?

MEET ME WHEN I COME

PLEASE MEET ME WHEN I COME
MEET ME WHEN I COME
PLEASE MEET ME WHEN I COME
MEET ME WHEN I COME
PLEASE MEET ME
PLEASE MEET ME

MEET ME HALFWAY THERE
PLEASE MEET ME HALWAY THERE
PLEASE MEET ME HALWAY THERE
PLEASE MEET ME
PLEASE MEET ME

NO DISGUISE
NO COMPROMISE
NO DISPISE
NO MORE LIES
NO MORE LIES

PLEASE HOLD ME WHEN I COME
HOLD ME WHEN I COME
PLEASE HOLD ME WHEN I COME
HOLD ME WHEN I COME
HOLD ME
PLEASE HOLD ME

PLEASE HOLD ME WHEN I´M GONE
HOLD ME WHEN I´M GONE
HOLD ME WHEN I´M GONE
PLEASE HOLD ME WHEN I´M GONE
PLEASE HOLD ME,
PROTECT AND HOLD ME

NO DISGUISE
NO COMPROMISE
NO DISPISE
NO MORE LIES
NO MORE LIES

HOLD ME WHEN I COME
PLEASE MEET ME HALF WAY THERE
DON´T LEAVE ME ALL ALONE
DON´T LEAVE ME WHEN I´M GONE
PLEASE DON´T LEAVE ME

NO DISGUISE
NO COMPROMISE
NO DISPISE
NO MORE LIES
HEY NO MORE LIES

[ mood | loved ]

This is a rather happy song written by a guy who´s in love. You know that feeling when you have met someone who absorbes your whole world and you just can´t get enough of that person?
There is a song I come to think about right now by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen: "When I´m with you baby I go out of my head - I just can´t get enough, I just can´t get enough.. All the things you do to me and everything you said - I just can´t get enough, I just can´t get enough... We slip and slide as we fall in love, and I just can´t seem to get enough of you...."
That is the feeling in this song! We get a little crazy when we fall in love! In swedish we have a saying that goes: "Man tappar huvudet när man blir kär". It means something like "You drop your head when you fall in love"... and that is so true! You don´t think with your head anymore, you think with your heart (and some guys think with their dicks, lol.) Your feelings becomes the main thing, everything else is set aside, and some of us do really stupid things when our feelings take control, that we regret later.
Here we have a guy and a girl who has just made love I believe, and he is begging her to stay in bed with him for a while longer for a "replay"... Maybe they had a fight, because he´s saying "I´m begging on my knees, my apologies"...or maybe he tried to rush things in the heat of the moment and she becomes pissed. Anyway I feel happy when I listen to this song. It gets me in a good mood, because it´s a wonderful feeling to be in love, and I wish for all people the experience of being in love and being loved back so fully that you know and feel like "the most beautiful creature in the world"!

HEJ HEJ HEJ

Hey hey hey
Why don´t you stay
Don´t walk away
Hey hey hey
Hey Hey
Come and make my day
I wanna replay
Hey hey hey

I don´t know
I really don´t know
I don´t know but I love you so
Baby don´t you go
I love you so
Baby don´t say no

Please, please
I´m begging on my knees
My apologies
Please please please

I don´t know
I really don´t know
I don´t know but I love you so
Baby don´t you go
I love you so
Baby don´t say no
Baby don´t say no

I don´t know
I really don´t know
I don´t know but I love you so
Baby don´t you go
I love you so
Baby don´t say no
Don´t you know
Baby don´t you go
I love you so
Baby don´t say no
Baby don´t you know
I love you so
Baby don´t say no
Baby don´t you know
Don´t say no

The Ghosts on The Castle [02 Jan 2008|12:28am]

PETER STORMARE ABOUT THE GHOSTS ON THE CASTLE AND ABOUT HIS CONTACT WITH THE DESEASED BERGMAN
(From an article in a swedish magazine).

PETER REMOVING THE GHOSTLY INFLUENCES...
Photobucket
(The lady on th pic is his dead friend Signe Hasso, swedish actress, who gave him advice in the process)

Welcome to The Ghosts on The Castle
The Hollywoodstar Peter Stormare is telling us about the ghosts he was forced to share a room with at Trolleholm.

-Not so funny to wake up and meet a crazy dead lady, he says to Aftonbladet.

In tonights part of The Stars on The Castle, Peter Stormare, 54, realizes he´s not alone in his luxury suite. He tells us that he has inherited his mother Guns sixth sense and that he is staying in a suite called ”The Lady with The dog”. And they are still there...
It doesn´t take long before the earlier inhabitants of the room show that they are still there. In an exclusive Peter Stormare tells us about his confrontations with the supernatural.

- I woke up, and there was a little dog and a female in the room...not Ekland and Tequila, but someone from another time, he says.

EXORCISM OF HIS OWN

For two nights the Star was haunted before he was forced to do some home-made exorcism.

-I got rid of a couple of paintings. Placed some things I always have with me. Rearraged the furniture and lit candles. And they disappeared! The third night I slept like a little pig.

This was not Stormares only contact with the other side during the shootings. The first day at Trolleholm he got the message that his menthor in life, Ingmar Bergman, had died.

- I got close to take off the first day, but Ingmar wouldn´t have liked that. Even from his heaven he gave me advice. He said: ”Never cancel a show! Don´t mix your private-life with a paying audience! Give them what they want and then go home to yours and deal with your sorrow privately.”

AVOIDED DISASTER

Stormare took Bergmans advice.

-Maestro spoke, and I am forever grateful to him. If I had left, I would have put the others in a difficult position and SVT would have faced a disaster. You cannot, must not, do that if you want to call yourself a professional – or if you have any manners at all, Stormare says.

HE IS A FAVOURITE

And the people loves him. Stormare is a favourite with nearly 50 percent of the votes on Aftonbladets voting list.

-Please I have no idea why thy like me. But I bow deeply to the readers and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

- Do you think your freespirited sextalk has got anything to do with it?

- There wasn´t so much sextalk, was it? Noone of the other mentioned anything about their personal sexlives, so I took a long-shot to bring it to the surface. Noone was exactly willing to discuss their sexuality. But I don´t know, maybe the other Stars talked about it when I was busy haunting the bitch with that bloody dog out of my room.

Magnus day at The castle [31 Dec 2007|06:27pm]

MAGNUS HÄRENSTAM - HOST OF THE DAY
Photobucket

The day starts up with Magnus waking everybody for a real Härenstam-frukost with all you can imagine on the table. Everyone (except perhaps Britt) seemed to enjoy it, and when Magnus arrived to the dining-room they were already out of omelettes.
Magnus had planned a day at the sea for the other stars. I have written about the accident already, where Jan Malmsjö broke two ribs... now that I have seen the program, I can tell you it looked really nasty, as the boat was about to tip over in fact. The wind blew 10 m/s - thats rather heavy wind I am told. And noone, except Magnus and Pelle Pettersson (swedish sailing star, who was their teacher) had ever sailed before. Peter confessed he becomes seasick just by looking at a rowingboat (so this of course was worse) and he asked Magnus whether or not he should bring a bag to puke in, haha.
When they arrived at the dock, Britt asked Pelle which boats they were going to use, and when she saw them she said: "No way in hell!" But she melted when Magnus brought her a life-jacket for her dog, Tequila, and gave him a kiss.

EVERYONE´S GETTING INSTRUCTIONS BY PELLE PETTERSSON (Look what Arja´s got on her head lol)
Photobucket

After the not-so-good day at sea, they went back to the castle, and Peter, who had managed NOT to puke until now, ran off to the bathroom, poor thing. When he came back he told us he was convinced he had a ghost in his room. I don´t know if you know this about Peter, but he really has a gift to see ghosts and they visit him from time to time. So if he says the place was haunted I believe him. He removed some objects from the room, a painting and a mirror. And he also said he had to go over to Jans room the third night and sleep on the carpet there, because the ghost wouldn´t leave him be. Jan told the others at dinner, that he woke up in the middle of the night hearing a noise and got scared himself, because he thought it was a ghost... but when he looked closely at the human bundle on the floor he saw that "it was just little Peter". After Peters rearrangements in the room everything seemed to calm down.
In the afternoon they had a competition on the green behind The Castle, where they were supposed to catch eels in a barrel. Guess who won? Of course - our Peter! He was crowned and dubbed to "EelKing" and got a crown on his head and an eelskin over his shoulder, which he wore at dinner as well. He seemed very proud of himself. Arja came in second and was crowned queen, and Britt kissed their feet like a true subject.

Photobucket

At dinner it got very sentimental, because Magnus was telling everyone about his wife´s death, and how he missed her. There was almost a row as well, because Arja asked him about his daughter he has outside marriage, and even though Magnus didn´t seem to mind, Britt did, and when Magnus went to the kitchen to check the dessert, Britt snapped at Arja, and told her how blunt she thought she had been. But it was nothing like the newspapers wrote about it like it was a big row and a huge crack beetween Arja and Britt.
The interview with Magnus was quite sentimental too. After he told us a bit about his life and carreer as a comedian, actor and TV host for swedish Jeopardy, he told us about his relationship with his wife and about the sorrow when she died. We who are used to see Magnus as that always smiling joker, got to see a completely different side of him. And he totally won Britts heart. She, who in the last program seemed mostly irritated with him now melted and said she had changed his mind about him totally, and she called him "an old fashioned gentleman".

PETER WINS JEOPARDY
Photobucket

JANNE: "HE CHEATED!"
Photobucket
AND ADDED: "NOW AT LEAST WE HAVE SOMETHING TO FIGHT ABOUT!"

The program was wounded up with a mini-Jeopardy where all the questions were about Magnus and his life and carreer. And guess who won - again? Peter of course! Although Jan accused him for cheating. He seemed happy though about having a reason to argue at last.

Britts night at the castle [27 Dec 2007|01:59am]

[ mood | amused ]

Tonight on Boxing Day the 26 of december, The Stars on The castle began. First out as a host was Britt Ekland, the former Bond-chick and model. She´s still looking good even though she has reached the appreciable age of 65. And what energy! She and her prolonged arm, the little chihuahua Tequila seems to compete with eachother about who has the highest energylevel.

BRITT EKLAND - HOST OF THE DAY
Photobucket

We get to welcome the Stars as they arrive to the castle. Magnus Härenstam arrives by train, Britt Ekland and Arja Sajonmaa arrives by car, and Jan Malmsjö is flown in to the airport. Peter has been in Stockholm the night before performing with the Poodles at Gröna Lund (which was awsome by the way) and rushed from there to get to Skåne in time.
They are getting settled in their rooms, and Britt (of course) complains about the small wardrobe. Nine bags she has with her... oh boy! One of them is for Tequila of course.
During welcome dinner Britt suddenly steals Peter away from the table and drags him out into the night... A romantic interlude? No - they are going to catch cray-fish for the dinner tomorrow!

Next day everyone is woke by Britt and get a healthy drink and a set of yellow jogging clothes - there are going to be a tough work-out on the green grass outside the Castle.
Peter arrives with Jan dressed in the jogging outfit and a BFF cap and he has also put one on Jannes head (lol - way to go Peter!!!) You are not supposed to do promotion in the swedish public channels, but Peter manages to get around that haha... Janne tells us the letters mean "Best friends forever". I bet they conspired about this, lol.
Janne has some problems with the work-out and falls all over Arja when he´s stepping down from the jogging machine, and someone (I think it was Magnus) makes a joyful comment: "Oh - has it started already?!" It looks like they are making out...

Next Britt is taking the others on a trip to the shooting range. It turns out that Arja is a finnish champion, so she gets to start. But Peter has of course trained shooting as commander Hamilton, and wins the game.
Before dinner, The Stars are gathered on the terass for a cocktail and photoshots. They are all dressed up stylish according to Britts wishes "dresscode glamour". As a true Bond-chick she of course serves the Martinis "shaken but not stirred".

FIVE BRIGHTSHINING STARS...

The most spectacular thing that happened during today´s show, was when Peter grabs Arja to show the others how to make a film-kiss look real (And it does - doesn´t it;)
Look at Magnus´ and Jannes´ faces, lol, with open mouths and their toungues out like a couple of horny male-dogs!

THE KISS

DROOLS:P
Photobucket

Of course they have the cray-fish for dinner that Peter and Britt caught the other night (and there were lots of them). Britt is telling the others about her life and her terrible marriage to Peter Sellers. For a coffee-snack Britt made a cake for Janne, who recently has had birthday and she also hands out a special prize for Peter (a little miniature-dog that looks like Tequila) for helping her catching the cray-fish the other night. The other gets Tequilas too, and the dog seems to think they are for real and starts barking.

We also get some personal interviews when Britt is telling the viewers about her life with Peter Sellers and Rod Stewart, whom she also was married to for a while. We get the picture of a very independent woman, who stands on her own two feet - no femme fatale here, oh no!
She is definitely not a dumb blonde! Maybe she´s something for Blonde From Fargo? But according to herself she cannot sing, although she was persuaded to do a disco-record in her golden days!
